Has anyone else seen that Yahoo Weather’s ‘Feels Like’ temperature indicator is always the same as the actual?
The chill factor is a useful pointer to how one needs to dress for the outdorrs. Yahoo Weather’s ‘ has a ‘Feels Like’ indicator as well as of course current temperature. The problem is that the 2 are always identical even on the most blustery day when there is a chill factor at play but not recognised or shown by Yahoo Weather system/page. I suppose I could get a wind meter, mount it on my roof and manually calculate the relevant ‘Feels Like’ temperature from a chill factor table. This does however defeat the purpose of one of the displayed Yahoo Weather features. I’ve reported this fault to Yahoo support and they say ‘Weather’ is not supported. They do not deny the problem. Seems rather daft to me. Anyone any thoughts?
Although the engine behind Yahoo Weather seems to be the Weather Channel UK, the latter seems not to have any support contact on their own website so I’m left with tackling Yahoo direct as the service which has a fault is named ‘Yahoo’ Weather.
Maybe you didn’t notice but the weather is from the Weather Channel, not Yahoo. Yahoo has no control over that site. I’ve noticed that myself and thought it was rather stupid to put that. Click on the city in question and it will take you to the Weather Channel’s weather report. Mine does.
